Kitesurfing spot information
If you want to practice your wave riding skills than Calmers is a fantastic kitesurfing spot. There is a perfect left and right break on a SE and NW. The Swell can get really big here (up to 3 metres). Note that this is an advanced kitesurfing spot for wave riders.
How to get there and rigging areas
From Cape Town, take the R27. Continue along the R27. At the traffic lights turn left into the M14, Marine Drive. Parking area is on the roadside opposite the Big Bay Beach Club. Rigging on the beach. Carry your kite from your car to the beach (approximately 200m).
